We understand some children can be reluctant readers, so below are some tips to help you get your child enthused about reading:
- Make books part of your family life – always have books around so that you and your children are ready to read whenever there’s a chance. This doesn’t have to mean physical books, there are many great online alternatives such as the online library service, where you can download books for free to your computer or the App ‘BorrowBox’ on your phone or tablet:

- Match their interests – Help them find the right book. If your child is not sure what type of book they would like to read next, they can take this literary quiz to point them in the right direction:

If you’re child is not interested in fiction, don’t discount nonfiction, comics, graphic novels, magazines and leaflets.
Reading is reading and it is all good!
